In the next few months, we will create a member area of the site, where we will provide information on current or future projects, including opportunities to become involved as a supplier or investor.
About Us
We set up Abode25 to formalise our entry into property development as a business, rather than a series of side projects. We love design, fashion and the satisfaction of transforming houses into something more usable and stylish than the original.
Our first property was bought at auction in 2000 and we quickly went on to flip three others within 18 months. Then the inevitable.....children! Plus our 'day job' business became much more successful and took all of our time. So property development went on 'hold', albeit we bought an unloved large Georgian Grade 2 listed house, that we refurbished over four years.
After ten happy years in our Georgian property, the kids had grown up a bit and we decided to set ourselves a goal of three development projects in five years. Our timing for this was impeccable: A global pandemic, harsher taxes and building regulations, material prices doubling and then the chancellor imploded interest rates!
However, we achieved our goal and along the way learnt lots of valuable lessons, some arguments had fun and we think, created some great properties. See the portfolio page to see how we bought them for £1.6m and then sold them for £3m.
